We all make mistakes. Some we recognize right away and some we don’t. This mis-steps are usually directed at others. Often the ones closest to us. They come to us, because they trust us and instead of responding appropriately, listening to their struggles or helping them in their time if need. We respond from fear. Often this fear isn’t directed toward them in any kind of way. But leads to us saying something that is so hurtful, the other person pulls away. Not even sure they can let you in their lives again. What we have to do on the other end is be patient and understanding. Time heals. We may lose that person forever, we must accept that. Take those lessons and evaluate what you were really angry at and why you responded the way you did. Keep in mind it’s okay to express a need. But there is a time and place and it’s not always about your needs.
This photo is of Breakneck Falls, in McConnell’s Mills State Park. It’s not that long of a hike to the top. Along the right side of the falls there is a make-shift trail. Carefully climbing to the top, there is a nice secluded area to sit and take in the falls. The sound of the rushing water, birds chirping and breeze blowing through the trees. The day that this was taken, Fall was just beginning to take hold of Western Pennsylvania. The falls weren’t flowing as strongly as they were when I was here last April and a lot of areas had dried up. I was able to explore around the falls closer, as long as I took caution.
