Saturday night I went to the Northside to meet up with a group of folks to explore the Mexican War Streets. It was my first photo walk with the group, and I was pleased to see such a large turnout. I met a bunch of new people who are as interested in photography as I am, and we had a blast! Amongst the old gothic style architecture, we stumbled upon some cool people as well. Nestled in the corner off of Jacksonia Ave, there was a brightly painted, eccentrically decorated house. The owner happened to be out and about, and invited us into his courtyard to shoot. There was so much to take in that I felt like a kid in a candy shop- we were greeted with a plethora of color and details. I’d like to thank Randy Gilson for inviting us into his home. Here are some of the pictures of the meet-up.
