Exploring the Alpha Pass

I’ve got to admit something…I’m in love with McConnell’s Mills. This state park was created by a huge glacial lake that broke. The flow of water created Slippery Rock Creek in a matter of a day. How cool is that? This is why the park has so many geological features, the gorge, the rocks the size of your living room, rapids, etc. There is always something to see. On this day, I decided to travel up the Alpha Pass. I’ve never been on this trail before, so I was excited for the new views of Slippery Rock Creek. Alpha Pass did not disappoint.
