Prickly

Today was a fun day spent at Phipps Conservatory. Coming to Phipps is always a fun time. Every season there is something new. Phipps is also a really good place to practice technique. The building is low lit, and even though it’s a greenhouse. On cloudy days it can get dark in there. Today was one of those days. Nonetheless, it’s a wonderful time hanging out amongst fellow photographers and beautiful flowers and greens.

On a side note, I spent a ton of time in the desert room. It’s a room I easily (don’t know why) overlook. So I wanted to make sure I spent a good amount of time here. I processed this below as a black and white. I’ve been playing with black and while for a little bit now. I love how the textures on the cactus are very present.
