USA Landscape Photographer of the Year – Highly Commended
Toward the end of last year I came across a call for entires for USA Landscape Photographer of the year. I thought, ‘eh well, lets give it a try.’ I entered a portfolio of three images in the black and white category and two images in individual categories and promptly forgot. My thinking is it’s always good to gauge yourself and this years judges are some of the best in landscape photography, including David Muench someone whom I take a lot of inspiration from. Thousands of photos were entered taken of the USA Landscape from photographers all over the world. I can’t tell you what an incredible honor it is to have my photograph selected, and from such an esteemed panel of judges!
My photograph ‘Hard Look’ was selected as Highly Commended! What an honor! I could hardly believe it. In fact, I had to read the email four times to realize what just happened! USA Today will be announcing the winners and the highly commended in print and the online version May 30/31st. Popular Photography and Amateur Photographer in the UK will run a photo gallery in their June editions.
